Methodology
Methodology — AIAAN intelligence analysis.
Methodology
AIAAN’s intelligence platform employs rigorous research methodology to deliver accurate, timely, and actionable analysis of Angola’s aviation sector. This page outlines our data sourcing, verification, evaluation, and publication standards.
Data Sources
Our analysis draws from multiple source categories. Primary regulatory sources include ICAO publications, INAVIC/ANAC regulatory filings, Angola Ministry of Transport announcements, and bilateral air service agreement documentation. Industry data sources include IATA statistics, AFRAA quarterly reports, airline financial disclosures, airport operational data, and fleet delivery records from Airbus and Boeing. Institutional sources include African Union aviation policy documents, AFCAC implementation reports, and development finance institution assessments. Market intelligence draws on airline schedule data, traffic statistics, cargo volume reports, and industry conference presentations.
Verification Standards
All quantitative data published on AIAAN undergoes multi-source verification where possible. Passenger statistics are cross-referenced between airport authority reports, airline disclosures, and third-party aviation data providers. Fleet data is verified against manufacturer delivery records and aviation registry databases. Financial figures are sourced from audited accounts where available, with estimates clearly labeled as such.
When single-source data is used (common for operational details not yet widely published), the source is identified and the data point flagged for future verification as additional sources become available.
Evaluation Frameworks
Our entity profiles use standardized evaluation criteria covering operational scale, financial performance, strategic positioning, competitive advantages, and risk factors. Each profile applies the same analytical framework to enable meaningful comparison across entities.
Our comparison analyses employ structured side-by-side evaluation with consistent metrics across the entities being compared. Evaluation criteria are specified at the beginning of each comparison to ensure analytical transparency.
Editorial Standards
AIAAN maintains editorial independence from the entities it covers. No entity pays for favorable coverage. Corrections are processed within 48 hours of receipt at info@aiaan.org. Published content is dated and updated with revision timestamps. All analysis represents the editorial team’s independent assessment based on available evidence.
Coverage Scope
Our research covers Luanda Airport operations, aviation routes development, cargo operations analysis, aviation infrastructure investment, and supplementary intelligence including briefs, dashboards, and guides. The FAQ section addresses common questions, and the premium tier provides enhanced data access.
